Ruck: A Verb and a Noun

Before your eyes glaze over with thoughts of high school grammar class, please stick with me here. It’s going to be helpful to follow some of our conversations to know some basic terminology.

A “ruck” could refer to the actual backpack style bag (NOUN) that you carry on your back that is generally loaded with weight of some type, but it also can refer to the act of taking said ruck and going for a walk with it, which is then called a ruck (VERB).

So while it might sound a bit silly, you could accurately say “I am going to go grab my ruck (NOUN) and go for a ruck (VERB) and anyone regularly reading this blog should know exactly what you mean. 😁
